St John's School Council

 

Appointed St John's School Council Members for 2023 / 2024 are:

Class 3: Maria, Maisy, Jack

Class 4: Jessica, Scarlett, Dylan

Class 5: Francesca, Lexie-Lou, Alfie

Class 6: Louis, Kye P, Alisha 

School council will be involved in organising lots of fundraising events in school throughout the year e.g Children in Need, Comic Relief. 

 

New School Bags for all St John's children

At a recent School Council meeting we expressed concerns about the number of plastic book bags that we as a school were using and continually replacing. We asked if Mrs Galloway would consider an alternative so that we can reduce our plastic use and support the environment. 

So...the children have taken home their brand new school bag which they can start to use from Monday!

Please remember that the children do not need to bring anything to school other than their reading books and reading record. Packed lunches should be in a separate, named packed lunch box that can be places on the trolley outside the classroom.

A huge thank you to all of our St John's children, families and staff for donating to 'BBC Children In Need'!

St John's School Council have raised an amazing amount of money during this week arranging different activities including:

A raffle to win a Pudsey plush toy

Non-Uniform Day (Wear a yellow or spotty item)

Buying Children In Need Merchandise including; Pudsey ears, wrist bands and pens.
