Upcoming Trips

Please complete and return the relevant permission slip and send payment into school as soon as possible. Also, please note the times children need to be in school, when they are back and the equipment they need for their trip.

Year 3 - Blackpool Zoo - Monday 29th April

As part of this terms topic, children from year 3 will be visiting Blackpool Zoo, on Monday 29th April.

During this trip the children will take part in a workshop about rainforests.

Year 1- Fairhaven Lake - Tuesday 30th April

As part of this terms science topic, children from year 1 will be visiting Fairhaven Lake, on Tuesday 30th April.

During this trip the children will take part in a workshop called ‘Brilliant Birds!’

This trip will take place in the morning and the children will be back in school for lunchtime. Children must be in school on time as the mini-buses will be leaving promptly at 9.15am; we will return to school at approximately 11.30am.

Year 1 - Clitheroe Castle - Thursday 2nd May

As part of this term’s topic on Castles, children from year 1 will be visiting Clitheroe Castle, on Thursday 2nd May. Clitheroe Castle is a ruined early medieval castle in Clitheroe in Lancashire. It was the caput of the Honour of Clitheroe, a vast estate stretching along the western side of the Pennines. Its earliest history is debated but it is thought to be of Norman origin, probably built in the twelfth century. Children will explore the castle in the morning learning about Castles & Keeps. The afternoon will be taken up with stories about Dragons & Dungeons.

 

Year 2 - Wild Discovery Park - Wednesday 8th May

As part of this term’s topic covering Minibeasts, Y2 will be visiting The Wild Discovery Park at Ribby Hall on Wednesday 8th May.  Whilst at the park the children will be taking part in various hunts for minibeasts.

Please note, there is no charge for this trip.

 

...Do you know, The Saints After School Club, here at St. John's School, run mini sessions for siblings of children who are on trips or attending other clubs in school. Mini sessions run until 4pm saving you on doing the school run twice!! Click here for more details or come and see Miss. Shorrock in the school hall at the end of the school day.
